Clara Leff, 27 years old, was born and currently lives in São Paulo. She has dedicated herself to art for the past seven years. A graduate of Centro Universitário Belas Artes in Visual Arts, Clara works with graffiti and canvas, and also explores other media. Her current research focuses on her journey of self-discovery, reflecting on the recognition and empowerment of the women around her. The female figures in her work evoke a sense of completeness, prompting reflections on internalization as a moment bordering on magic. Clara highlights the turquoise tone, a color symbolizing transformation, situated between green and blue in nature, which brings a surreal quality to her realistic techniques. Inspired by her own experiences on the street, using her favorite material, spray paint, the artist depicts a cut-out of a character, with only the hand in the action of painting. Reflecting on the power of art's transformation, the background is grayed out, and color only appears where the spray splatters paint, much like the streets of her city São Paulo, where everything is gray and color only enters where artists press their spray cans.
